A component of a Guth 2100 and later simulator which, when combined with an RS232 cable, permits some police services to connect their Intoxilyzer 8000Cs by cable to the digital thermometer on the Guth simulator so that the Intoxilyzer can pre-populate the simulator temperature into Intoxilyzer data (which would otherwise be input manually by the QT). With the greatest of respect to the Court in R. v. Fitts, the finding of fact by the Court that the Intoxilyzer 8000C itself samples and checks the temperature of the air coming from the simulator, is in error.
