Each following Texas-dui-attorney is a Texas member of the DUI DWI: International Referral Database of DUI, DWI, Impaired and Drunk Driving, Drinking and Driving, Lawyers & Attorneys  and has been asked to provide basic Texas information about their practice in Texas . The participants including each Texas-dui-attorney do not practice in association. This database originated with a listserv group of Texas DUI attorneys and other DUI attorneys who wanted to know basic information from DUI attorneys in other provinces and states so that they could refer DUI business. Participation has always been and will continue to be free to any Texas-dui-attorney who certifies that they are a DUI defence or defense attorney, who promises to keep their DUI contributions, including courthouse profiles, legislation sections, and breath instruments information, up to date, and who are willing to create some links to the database from their own DUI web site. Members of the public are invited to visit the links to the profiles for each Texas-dui-attorney and to browse for DUI information herein. Banner advertising on the top of this Texas-dui-attorney page is only available to each DUI attorney who has made significant contributions to the DUI breath instruments database. We appreciate any Texas-dui-attorney who has taken the time to provide detailed DUI information below. I am devoted to providing a spirit of excellence in DWI defense and selected criminal cases. I am NHTSA trained and qualified as an SFST (Standard Field Sobriety Test) Practitioner and Instructor. In October of 2004, I assisted in teaching the SFST Practitioner class to 20 attorneys from across the nation at a seminar in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, I completed the Drug Recognition Expert School and I am a former undercover vice officer with the Austin Police Department. I completed the Intoxilyzer 5000 Course as an Operator on the Breathalyzer Machine, one of which I own. I am a participating member of the National College for DUI Defense. My experience and continuing scientific education and training is vital to your DWI or criminal defense. I am exceptionally trained, educated and qualified to aggressively represent you on your DWI case or any criminal matter.

Each lawyer in the firm of Boatwright & Hamilton, PLLC has completed training by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to administer standardized field sobriety tests. Both attorneys are members of the local criminal defense association; the Texas Criminal Defense Association; and the National Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association. Chris Samuelson's practice has been limited to Texas DWI defense since 1997. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, and is also a graduate of the College's intensive summer program held at Harvard Law School. Chris has authored a variety of articles about DWI related topics, and he often lectures at legal seminars on DWI defense, administrative hearings, and witness preparation. He has been published in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association magazine "The Voice" and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers' "The Champion" numerous times. The National College for DUI Defense presented his treatise on witness preparation during the 2001 Harvard summer session.

Ken Gibson has completed training by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to administer standardized field sobriety tests. Ken is a member of the local criminal defense association and the Texas Criminal Defense Association. Ken spends time each month researching the latest cases, legal treaties, scientific literature, and articles on the subject of drunk driving defense. Ken focus on criminal cases with the emphasis of his practice devoted to DWI cases. He focuses on cases in Travis County, Williamson County and Hays County.

W. Troy McKinney is a shareholder in Schneider & McKinney, P.C. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Houston Baptist University in 1981 with a double major in Political Science and Speech. He attended law school at South Texas College of Law, graduating number one in his class -- summa cum laude -- in 1986. While in law school, Mr. McKinney was a member of the Justice Court, the Order of the Barristers, and the Order of the Lytae. He was awarded several American Jurisprudence Awards and also won awards in various moot court competitions. From 1986 through 1987, Mr. McKinney was a briefing attorney for the Honorable Murry Cohen at the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. Mr. McKinney was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1986, and has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas. Mr. McKinney is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and in DWI Defense Law by the National College for DUI Defense: this specialization program has been approved by the American Bar Association and accredited by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a member of the Board of Regents and a sustaining member of the National College for DUI Defense, a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas (Criminal and Appellate Law Sections), the College of the State Bar of Texas (Fellow), the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association (Vice President 2000-2001, President Elect 2001-2002, President 2002-2003), the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (Board of Directors 2004 - 2007, Executive Committee 2004-2007, DWI Committee Co-Chair 2006-2007), the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and has been on the Board of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer's Project (2002-2005, 2007). Mr. McKinney is co-author of Texas Drunk Driving Law (Lexis, 4th Ed.), and a frequent speaker throughout the country (26 states) and internationally (5 foreign countries) on DWI and other criminal law issues. He has spoken and taught at over 120 courses. He has authored articles related to criminal defense and DWI defense that have been published in The Champion, The Voice for the Defense, and The Defender. He is frequently consulted and quoted in a variety of media publications, which recently have included Time Magazine, Texas Lawyer, the National Law Journal, and the Houston Chronicle. He has appeared on Donahue, Larry King, A&E, CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, TNN, Current Affairs, as well all major networks and a variety of local news programs. Two movies have been made (ABC and HBO) about cases defended by Mr. McKinney. In June 2001 and again in May 2007, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association named Mr. McKinney the Outstanding Member of the Year. Mr. McKinney has been named a Texas Super Lawyer in Criminal Law (2004-2008) and in DWI Defense (2005-2007), a "Top Lawyer for the People" by H Texas Magazine (2005-2008) and one of "Americas Best Lawyers" (2007-2008. Mr. McKinney is trained as a practitioner and instructor in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Standardized Field Sobriety Tests -- the roadside exercises that officers ask citizens to perform -- and is a DOT trained Intoxilyzer 5000 operator and maintenance technician. Mr McKinney owns an Intoxilyzer 5000 EN, the breath test machine used throughout Texas. He is also an associate member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.

He is also a Founding Member of the National College of DUI Defense, Board of Director for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Associaion, Past President of the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Member of the Dallas & Collin County Criminal Lawyers Associations. Mr. Hoover's practice primarily consists of taking intoxication cases to trial. His client base consists primarily of business clients who cannot afford to have a DWI conviction in their criminal history. He also handles cases involving Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault which can have dire results for the accused. Mr. Hoover speaks throughout Texas and the United States on defense of intoxication cases and is recognized as a legal expert in the area of scientific testing of breath, blood and urine samples
