I urge you to contact my office without delay. You only have fifteen days to request an administrative hearing if you took the breath, blood, saliva or urine test after a DWI / DUI arrest. THE FIRST CONSULTATION IS FREE! If you call several days ahead of your appointment I usually want you to fill out a basic questionnaire. The first appointment can be as long as a hour to ahour and one half. I believe the more I know the better I can defend you and protect your rights. Ater the first meeting (if you have hired me) I have you do some homework, and I begin the investigation of your case. We will usually visit the scene of the stop and take photographs, and do a canvass for additional evidence and witnesses. I send out letters to preserve evidence like dispatch and surveillance tapes. We also take video of your route if it is relevant to your case. I may send you to get your doctor's office to collect a certified copy of your records. We also want to check out all the police, lab and accident reports. As you can see I believe in being very thorough. Knowledge is power and I try to get as much as humanly possibel about your case's facts.

Who is Lawrence E. Wines?
A DWI, Criminal and Traffic Violation Defense Attorney that has extensive experience, a great trial record, a history of superior plea negotiation results. Larry is lifelong resident of the St. Louis Metro area, attending high caliber local educational instutions: DeSmet Jesuit High School, University of Missouri- St. Louis (UMSL), and St. Louis University Law School, before attending Graduate studies elsewhere.
He is married and has three children:Nathan, Shavon and Brittany. His home is now in Wentzville after growing up in Ferguson, Missouri.

He graduated from the St. Louis University Law School in 1987 and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1989 after he left as a staff member of Missouri Congressman Richard A. Gephardt. Many attorneys must take the bar exam more than one time to pass I passed it on my first try after being away from law school for two years.
He has never been disciplined by the State Bar.
His background and having been a real fighter and champion athlete in power lifting (2nd Ozark region), weightlifting (Missouri State Champion), archery (6th in U.S. Junior Nationals) and a full contact karate fighter with a record of 26W-3L; has prepared him well for DWI defense and he believes the best results in the DWI defense comes getting the proper training and experience, also from hard work preparing the case, and having the courage to challenge the prosecution at every level.
